Back in DC during the 1990s, I worked with a lobbyist who had previously done work on the MagLev project. That was before it was first killed off. I even got to meet one of its original visionary scientists at a Georgetown Christmas Party. Can life really get any snootier than that?

Well, for those who don't know, it turns out that MagLev is now moving ahead once more ... this time, in Pennsylvania.
